Samuel Chukwueze has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles are fully prepared to chase their goal of winning this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Nigeria will resume their campaign on Monday, facing Mozambique in Fes, as they look to secure a fourth continental crown.
Eric Chelle’s side will make their AFCON knockout debut, entering the tie as underdogs against a strong Eagles squad.
Chukwueze was instrumental in Nigeria’s 3-1 victory over Uganda in their final group match, providing two key assists.
The AC Milan winger, currently on loan at Fulham, spoke to journalists during the team’s official training session on Sunday ahead of the round of 16 clash.
According to Chukwueze, the entire Super Eagles squad is committed to doing everything necessary to achieve their tournament ambition.
“We are very calm and we know we are ready to face any team,” he said.
“The players from the bench, everybody is ready to give everything, it doesn’t matter who will play you can see in the last three games the team is ready to push to our goal which is the AFCON title.”
