AFCON: Tickets sold out for Nigeria, Tunisia clash

Tickets for Nigeria’s Super Eagles Group C encounter against Tunisia at the Africa Cup of Nations have been completely snapped up ahead of Saturday’s showdown at the Fez Stadium.

Details from the Confederation of African Football’s official ticketing platform show that seats across all three categories are no longer available.

Category 1 tickets were sold at 300 Moroccan dirhams (₦47,734), Category 2 at 200 dirhams (₦31,822), while Category 3 went for 100 dirhams (₦15,911) based on the current exchange rate.

The much-anticipated fixture will see the Super Eagles square off against the Carthage Eagles in what is expected to be one of the most competitive games of the group stage.

Both sides began their AFCON campaigns on a winning note. Nigeria edged Tanzania 2–1 in their opening match, while Tunisia secured a convincing 3–1 victory over Uganda.

With three points apiece, Saturday’s clash in Fez could effectively decide qualification for the round of 16, as the winner would be firmly in control of a knockout spot.

The Super Eagles will also be keen to settle an old score after their painful exit to Tunisia at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

Despite being tipped as favourites at the time, Nigeria were shocked by a 1–0 defeat, allowing Tunisia to advance to the quarter-finals.
