The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has approved a Caretaker Committee to oversee the party’s operations in Zamfara State.
The announcement was made in a public notice by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, and shared on the PDP’s official X account on Monday.
Hassan Muhammad Daudawa was named as the chairman of the committee, which also includes Shehu S. Fulani, Rabiu Illele Bakura, Musa Mallaha, Sani Lasisi Kaura, Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Makkah, and Muhammad Danbuba as secretary.
“The Caretaker Committee is tasked with managing the party’s activities in Zamfara State in line with Section 21(2)(a–b) of the PDP Constitution,” the statement read.
The committee is expected to run the state party’s affairs for a maximum of 90 days or until a new state executive committee is duly elected, whichever comes first.
The NWC called on PDP members in Zamfara to support the caretaker committee to ensure stability and effective administration during this transitional period.
