Super Eagles rise to 38th in latest FIFA rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles climbed three places in the latest FIFA rankings, despite missing out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Eric Chelle’s team, who were ranked 41st in October, now occupy the 38th spot globally.

Nigeria, however, remain fifth in Africa, trailing Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.

The Super Eagles played two matches during the period under review.

Spain retained their position at the top of the rankings, ahead of Argentina, France, and England. Brazil moved up two places to fifth, surpassing both the Netherlands and Portugal.

Portugal dropped to sixth, the Netherlands to seventh, Belgium held eighth, and Germany and Croatia rounded out the top 10.
