The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arraigned Samuel Ojeogwu, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, in an Abuja court over allegations including criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, revealed in a statement on Friday that the arraignment followed a petition filed with the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, implicating Ojeogwu and three others.
She explained, “On 28th October 2025, the FCT Metro Area Command received a petition against one Mr Samuel Ojeogwu, and three others, alleging criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyber-bullying.”
Adeh said Ojeogwu had allegedly ignored multiple police invitations before being apprehended in Lagos and transferred to Abuja for further investigation.
“Mr Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” she noted.
Following the investigation, Ojeogwu was charged in court on November 6, 2025, with offences relating to criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft.
“Upon the conclusion of investigations, the suspect was on the 6th of November 2025 charged in court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft,” Adeh said.
The spokesperson confirmed that Ojeogwu remains in custody, pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
“He has been remanded by the court pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions,” she said, while reiterating the police commitment to lawful and professional procedures.
“The FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law,” Adeh added.
The case has drawn public attention amid ongoing family tensions involving Regina Daniels, who was recently seen in a viral video expressing distress over her brother’s detention.
In the clip, she could be heard saying, “I will go back,” as she lamented the situation.
Her reaction comes against the backdrop of reported domestic tensions with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she had accused of abuse.
Nwoko has denied the claims, attributing her behaviour to alleged drug and alcohol use and insisting she undergo rehabilitation.
