The Nigeria Customs Service has announced that candidates shortlisted for its Superintendent cadre recruitment will undergo a Pre-Test exercise on Monday, September 22, 2025.
According to a statement released on the Service’s official X handle on Thursday, the pre-test is meant to prepare applicants ahead of the main Computer-Based Test.
“The Nigeria Customs Service, wishes to notify all invited applicants of the Superintendent cadre that a Pre-Test exercise will be held on Monday, 22nd September 2025 at 3:00 pm,” the statement read.
It explained that the exercise will enable candidates to familiarise themselves with the testing system. “The objective of the Pre-Test is to allow applicants to get used to the system ahead of the actual Computer-Based Test,” NCS noted.
The Service added that all shortlisted applicants will receive a dedicated link to log into the system. “Upon signing in, candidates will be required to complete facial verification and carefully read the instructions 30 minutes before the commencement of the Pre-Test. After the 30 minutes allocated for log-in procedures, candidates must click on the START button to commence the Pre-Test,” it added.
NCS stressed that applicants must adhere strictly to the guidelines provided.
It also assured those in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres that they will be contacted separately for their own pre-test schedule.
Last week, the Service revealed that about 286,697 applicants had been invited for the CBT across all cadres, competing for 3,927 available vacancies.
The National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, explained that candidates applying for the Superintendent Cadre (Level 8) will sit for another CBT in the next phase of the recruitment process.
