Resident doctors under the Federal Capital Territory Administration have commenced an indefinite strike after failed negotiations with the government.
The Association of Resident Doctors, FCTA chapter, confirmed the action in a communiqué issued on Monday. The document was signed by the association’s President, Dr. George Ebong, and General Secretary, Dr. Agbor Affiong.
The union had earlier staged a seven-day warning strike beginning last Monday to push for its demands after several months of stalled negotiations with the FCTA.
