The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the redeployment of the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, to Delta State Command as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations.
The Police boss said the move reflects the confidence of the Force leadership in Adejobi’s experience, professionalism, and capacity to enhance operational strategies in the state.
In a statement from Force Headquarters on Wednesday, Egbetokun commended Adejobi for his years of dedicated service as the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force.
“DCP Adejobi has served with outstanding professionalism and commitment. His contributions to shaping the image and communication strategies of the Nigeria Police cannot be overstated,” the IGP said.
He further expressed optimism that Adejobi would bring the same level of “dedication and excellence” to his new role in Delta State.
Meanwhile, the Force Headquarters disclosed that preparations are in top gear for the announcement of a new Force Public Relations Officer to replace Adejobi.
The redeployed officer officially resumes duty in Delta on September 3, 2025.
