Ex-France star Trémoulinas slams PSG over Donnarumma treatment

Former France international, Benoît Trémoulinas, has criticized Paris Saint-Germain over their handling of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

After the Italian played a key role in PSG’s UEFA Champions League triumph, the club, led by manager Luis Enrique, decided to pursue a different goalkeeper instead of meeting Donnarumma’s financial requests.

“Is this normal in modern football? Not really, but at this point, it’s no longer surprising,” Trémoulinas told Le10Sport (via PSG Talk).

“I wouldn’t call it normal, but it’s something we’ve come to expect, especially from PSG. We also know Luis Enrique and the decisions he makes, but I personally find it unacceptable.

“Sure, there were challenging moments with Donnarumma, but he delivered six outstanding months. I still remember his performances against Aston Villa and Liverpool…

“They won the Champions League in large part because of him. He did his job. To push him out like that, I find it quite disgraceful.”
