British heavyweight boxer, Daniel Dubois, has declared himself primed and hungry to dethrone Oleksandr Usyk in their much-anticipated undisputed world title bout on Saturday.
Ahead of the high-stakes clash, Dubois told Fox Sports that he’s not just stepping into the ring to fight, but to etch his name into boxing history.
He acknowledged the enormity of the challenge against the reigning WBA, WBO, and WBC champion, but insists he’s driven by the pursuit of greatness and ready to shock the world.
“Right now, I just want to get it on. I’m going to write my own script. They have their own script, I am going to write my own and win these belts and be the man,” said Dubois, who boasts 21 knockouts in 22 wins, with only two career losses.
“I’ve prepared right. I’m just on a different level now, I’m ready to come through whatever I need to on Saturday and get all those belts. I am chasing glory and I am chasing greatness. This is history-making and I have just got to do a real demolition job. I’m hungry and ready for it.”
Dubois, 26, will be aiming to hand Usyk his first professional loss and seize all three belts in what could be one of boxing’s biggest upsets in recent memory.
