Hardship: Tinubu had no manifesto, just entitlement, says Apostle Suleman

The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has criticized Nigerians for their choices in the 2023 elections, claiming that the current suffering in the country is a result of those decisions.

Suleman made the remarks during his visit to Bauchi State for the two-day “Recovery Conference 2025.”

Before the crusade, Apostle Suleman visited the Government House in Bauchi and met with the Executive Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed. Accompanied by senior pastors, including Dr. Kingsley Aigbe, he commended Governor Mohammed for his leadership and hospitality, describing him as a man of honor. He assured the Governor of his prayers for the leadership and people of Bauchi State.

During a press interaction at the Government House, Suleman was asked to share his views on the state of the nation. He expressed frustration with the voting choices made by Nigerians in the 2023 elections, suggesting that the current difficulties were, in part, deserved. He criticized President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, noting that Tinubu came to power without a clear manifesto, relying instead on a sense of entitlement.

Suleman also decried the mismanagement of the oil sector under the current administration, stating that the sector had been severely exploited and that recovery could take decades. He called on Nigerians to reflect on their choices ahead of the 2027 elections, cautioning that only through such reflection could they make better decisions in the future.

“What Nigerians are going through is partly what they deserve. Before the election, we cried out, we screamed, we yelled.

“The man (President Bola Tinubu) who came into leadership had no manifesto— just a sense of entitlement with his ‘it’s my turn’ mantra,” he declared.

“The oil sector has been plundered. In the next 10 to 15 years, I don’t think Nigerians will recover from the damage. Now, all we can do is pray,” he stated.

In a separate statement, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed also voiced concerns about President Tinubu’s policies. He warned that if left unchecked, these policies could lead to the destruction of the country’s future. Although he emphasized that he had no personal animosity toward the President, Governor Mohammed criticized the lack of a clear vision behind the government’s policies, particularly tax reforms. He stressed the need for reforms that would have a positive national impact, expressing his continued commitment to pointing out the flaws in the administration’s approach as long as Nigerians continued to be negatively affected by these policies.

“Tinubu’s policies don’t have a clear vision and are taking us to the road to perdition and destruction.

“That is why when I talk about the tax reforms it is not because I don’t want reform but I want reform that will have national impact. I don’t have anything against the president but respect,” he said.
