In an address at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, JD Vance, Donald Trump’s vice-presidential pick, vowed to champion the cause of working-class Americans who he believes have been neglected and forgotten by the Democrats.

Vance, an Ohio senator, introduced himself to a national audience, sharing his personal journey from a challenging childhood in small-town Ohio to his service in the US Marines, Yale Law School, and eventually the US Senate.

According to Nigerian Tribune, he criticized the current administration, stating that the people in power have repeatedly failed the country, citing issues such as the financial crisis, the Great Recession, open borders, and stagnating wages.

Vance emphasized that Donald Trump represents America’s “last best hope” to restore what has been lost.

Vance’s speech highlighted his commitment to fighting for the rights and interests of working-class Americans, a key demographic in the upcoming presidential election.

He and Trump will face off against the Democratic ticket, consisting of President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, in November’s election.

With his primetime speech, Vance aimed to connect with millions of Americans, showcasing his personal story and political vision. His message resonated with the Republican convention audience, solidifying his position as a key player in the Trump campaign.

“From Iraq to Afghanistan, from the financial crisis to the Great Recession, from open borders to stagnating wages, the people who govern this country have failed and failed again.

“Donald Trump represents America’s last best hope to restore what – if lost – may never be found again,” he said.
