Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have welcomed their third child, a baby girl, adding another member to their growing family.
The couple are already parents to two sons, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, born in 2021, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, born in 2023.
Their newborn daughter is their first girl together.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the birth in an official statement, saying, “Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news.”
Princess Eugenie, 36, also shared the joyful announcement on Instagram, writing: “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!!”
She added, “We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
The couple have not yet revealed their daughter’s name.
Although the baby will not hold the title of His or Her Royal Highness, she becomes 15th in the line of succession to the British throne, placing her ahead of her great-uncle, Prince Edward.
Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank divide their time between Portugal and Ivy Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
The couple announced they were expecting their third child in May when the princess shared a photo of her two sons holding a baby scan.
She captioned the post: “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!”
At the time, Buckingham Palace also released a statement, saying, “His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news.”
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank married in October 2018.
The newborn is the fifth grandchild of the princess’s father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, styles and honours by King Charles III last year following further revelations about his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite their father’s loss of royal status, Princess Eugenie and her sister retained their princess titles, although neither carries out duties as working members of the Royal Family.
Outside royal life, Princess Eugenie serves as a director at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in London’s Mayfair, while Brooksbank has built his career in the hospitality and marketing industries.
