Former France international and Real Madrid legend, Zinedine Zidane, has heaped praise on Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal, recognizing the teenager’s outstanding season with the Catalan giants.
Yamal was instrumental in Barça’s domestic dominance, helping the club secure a treble of trophies, La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
Despite Barcelona’s Champions League campaign ending in disappointment with a semi-final loss to Inter Milan, the 17-year-old still managed to dazzle on the European stage.
Zidane, reflecting on Yamal’s impact in that high-stakes clash, shared his admiration in an interview with Marca, “When you see him play, for example, the semi-final against Inter Milan.
“I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. Just watch someone who has such a command of his craft on the pitch.
“It’s fabulous to see him like that. We all had fun with him, and that’s why, for all these young players, Lamine is the one to watch.”
