Arsenal icon, Ian Wright, has revealed his desire to see Super Eagles star, Ademola Lookman, don the red and white of Arsenal in the ongoing transfer window.

The Nigerian forward has formally submitted a transfer request to Atalanta and is attracting strong interest from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Speaking to MirrorFootball via Instagram, Wright praised Lookman’s growth and expressed his hope of seeing the former Leicester and Everton player return to the Premier League.

“I would love someone like him to come back to the Premier League and say, ‘Listen, I have unfinished business here, so I am going to help Arsenal win the league,’” Wright said.

He further lauded the 26-year-old’s development, “But I just admire his journey,” Wright continued. “And now he’s recognised rightly as a top player, unbelievable.”

Europa League Hero Eyes Arsenal Switch

Lookman was instrumental in Atalanta’s stunning triumph in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League, with standout performances that elevated his profile across Europe.

Despite being tied to the Italian club until June 2027, his future in Bergamo looks increasingly uncertain.

Sources close to the club suggest that Lookman’s decision to stop training may be a strategic move aimed at accelerating his exit and sealing a move away, with Arsenal now being touted as a potential destination.
