Lookman shuns Atalanta training again amid transfer dispute

Super Eagles star, Ademola Lookman, has missed pre-season training with Atalanta for the second day in a row, intensifying speculation over his future at the Serie A club.

The Nigerian forward is reportedly keen on a move away from La Dea, with Inter Milan showing strong interest in his services.

In a dramatic twist, Lookman submitted a transfer request on Sunday, accusing the club of “broken promises” and claiming they had treated him “badly as a human being and as a professional footballer.”

The 27-year-old first stayed away from training on Monday in a show of frustration, and he has now extended his protest into a second day, hoping it will prompt progress in stalled negotiations between Atalanta and Inter.

Last week, Atalanta turned down a €45 million offer from Inter Milan for the former Leicester City attacker, who still has two years remaining on his current contract.
