The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday, formally addressed allegations that he allocated about 41 plots of land to his two sons, dismissing the claims as false and describing them as the handiwork of a failed politician from Adamawa State.
Speaking during a media chat on Thursday, monitored in Abuja, Wike firmly denied ever making such allocations, insisting there was no truth to the allegations.
“This story is sponsored by a failed politician from Adamawa State,” Wike said. However, he declined to reveal the identity of the alleged sponsor, stating that such information would not contribute to the country’s progress.
According to the FCT Minister, he has never allocated 41 plots of land to his sons or to anyone on their behalf.
“I have never made such allocations,” he declared.
