Popular Nigerian actress and social media influencer, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has recounted a near-tragic incident at her Lekki residence after a section of her property’s ceiling suddenly collapsed over the weekend.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday, was revealed by the movie star in a video posted to her Instagram Story, where she expressed shock and relief that no one was injured and her new car was not parked in its usual spot.
In the video, the visibly relieved influencer showed her followers the wreckage of the collapsed Plaster of Paris ceiling structure, which caved in at the car park area of her home.
She captioned the video with a mix of pidgin English and relief, writing: “Come to lekki they said tnk God no be inside house and my new car no Dey there…wetin I for talk abeg? It’s well with una lekki developers 000”.
The statement translates to a expression of gratitude that the incident did not happen inside the main living area of the house and that her new car was not parked beneath the structure at the time of the collapse.
Her final remark, “It’s well with una lekki developers,” appears to be a pointed criticism directed at the contractors or developers responsible for the construction work on her property.
The incident has sparked concern among her fans and followers, who flooded her comment section with messages of relief and support, while also raising questions about the quality of construction and building standards in the rapidly developing Lekki area of Lagos State.
As of the time of this report, Nkechi Blessing has not indicated if she will be taking any formal action against the developers but has stated her gratitude that a potential disaster was averted.
