Tunisia booked their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a thrilling stoppage-time 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea.

The North African side faced intense pressure throughout the match in Malabo, as the hosts needed a win to keep their own World Cup dreams alive.

Tunisia’s goalkeeper, Aymen Dahmen, was pivotal in the second half, pulling off a series of spectacular saves to deny Saul Coco, Emilio Nsue, and Alejandro Masogo.

As Equatorial Guinea pressed for an equalizer, Tunisia struck on a swift counter in the fourth minute of added time.

Firas Chaouat intercepted Coco, raced into the box, and set up Mohamed Ben Romdhane, who slotted the ball past Jesus Owono to seal the win.

The Carthage Eagles now top Group H with two games remaining, having qualified for the World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States without conceding a single goal in eight qualifying matches.

This marks Tunisia’s seventh appearance at the World Cup, though they are yet to progress beyond the group stage.
