Turkish Super Lig outfit, Trabzonspor, have reportedly intensified their pursuit of Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare as they seek to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Black Sea Storm are searching for a new striker following Felipe Augusto’s transfer to Russian Premier League club Zenit St. Petersburg, with Arokodare identified as one of their top targets.
Although the Turkish club has been linked with the Super Eagles forward for weeks, fresh reports indicate they have now made an official approach to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan, Trabzonspor have submitted a loan offer for the 26-year-old as they push to reinforce their frontline before the new season begins.
Arokodare is expected to leave Wolves this summer after the club’s relegation from the Premier League, with the striker eager to continue competing at a high level.
A switch to the Turkish top flight could provide the Nigerian forward with the consistent first-team opportunities he is seeking.
The former KRC Genk striker only arrived at Wolves from the Belgian Pro League last summer but struggled to make a major impact during his first season in England.
He finished the campaign with seven goals and two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions for the Old Gold.
Trabzonspor are planning further additions to their squad before the new season and believe Arokodare’s strength, aerial dominance and top-level experience would significantly improve their attacking options.
