Tonto Dikeh launches new ministry

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Tonto Dikeh, has announced the launch of a new spiritual movement known as the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, NWPT.

Dikeh made the announcement on Sunday through her Instagram page, describing the initiative as an interdenominational movement focused on prayer, revival and spiritual transformation.

According to her, NWPT is a “global movement of consecrated believers called to experience the raw power, purity, and presence of God.”

The movement draws inspiration from Mark 2:22, which states, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”

Dikeh said the initiative was established to provide a platform for believers seeking deeper spiritual experiences and genuine revival.

The vision of NWPT, according to the actress, is “to see a global awakening of consecrated believers operating in the raw power, purity, and presence of God transforming nations and establishing the Kingdom of Christ on Earth.”

She added that the movement would focus on prayer, spiritual training, evangelism and the exercise of spiritual gifts.

The mission statement said NWPT would “build an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training that equips watchmen, activates spiritual gifts, drives relentless soul winning, and delivers total freedom to the captive through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Dikeh stressed that the initiative should not be regarded as a conventional church.

“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God,” the statement said.

NWPT is expected to hold its weekly fellowship every Friday at 6pm.

The development comes months after Dikeh began using the name “Ada El-Roi” in several of her social media posts and became increasingly involved in the NSPPD community led by Pastor Jerry Eze.

In December 2025, the actress also publicly spoke about what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues during a service at Streams of Joy International Church.

Dikeh, who entered politics in 2022 as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, has in recent months also spoken publicly about personal changes and her past experiences, including her former marriage to Olakunle Churchill.
