The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Action African Congress and the Convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, has knocked President Bola Tinubu over the list of the ministerial nominees, sent to the Senate on Thursday.

Sowore who took this step while reacting to the list, through his Twitter account on Friday, described the list as a greater tragedy with the existing political system in the country.

Premium Politics reports that President Tinubu had on Thursday, sent them a list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate, through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila who presented the list to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who read the list to the lawmakers, during the plenary session on the floor of the Red Chamber, on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

However, the 28 names included in the list as unveiled by the Senate President are:

Meanwhile, the list has come under heavy criticism since it was unveiled by Senator Akpabio.

One of the social-political activists who have criticized the list is a former Federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani who made a cryptic comment about the list by describing it as the thirty pieces of silver for the Chancellor of the Gee Five.

“So Ministerial appointment is the thirty pieces of silver for the Chancellor of the Gee Five?,” Shehu Sani asked, berating Wike’s appointment.

Also condemning El-Rufai’s appointment, Shehu Sani wrote:

“Was he (El-Rufai) not a Minister when issues came up between Obasanjo and Atiku?

“It is going to be the same thing. If you see any discord between President Tinubu and Shettima, the same person caused it.

“If you see any discord between Mr president and members of his cabinet, he is still going to be the person that planted that discord. He has that history and track record.

“This is not a prophecy but a proven fact of what had happened, so I am saying that they have brought a serpent into their government. And they are going to pay the price for it.”

Reacting to the names on the list on Friday, Sowore who alleged that good, brilliant and visionary people are short in supply, claimed that only the worse are available for “service.”

“Looking at @officialABAT ministerial list, we must also admit that there is even a greater tragedy with the existing political system, good, brilliant and visionary people are in short supply. Only the worst are available for “service,” Sowore tweeted.
