The Presidency has announced the disengagement of Fegho John Umunubo, who until recently served as Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy, under the Office of the Vice President.

The announcement, issued on Monday, was signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.

According to the statement, Umunubo’s disengagement takes “immediate effect,” and he no longer has any mandate to represent the administration.

“Kindly note that he no longer represents this administration in any capacity,” Oladunjoye said.

The Presidency further cautioned stakeholders in the digital and creative sectors, both in Nigeria and abroad, against associating with Umunubo in an official capacity.

“Henceforth, anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk,” the statement read.
