Nigerian actress Temi Otedola and Afrobeats star Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, have tied the knot in a series of grand celebrations spanning Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland.

The couple, who met in London in 2017 and got engaged in Venice in 2022, began their wedding journey on May 9 with an intimate civil ceremony at the Mairie de Monaco in Monte Carlo.

The date held personal significance as it coincided with Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday. Temi opted for a custom Wiederhoeft suit with jewelry by Briony Raymond, while Eazi chose Louis Vuitton.

The occasion, described by the bride as “calm and simple,” was followed by a Champagne toast at Villa La Vigie, the former home of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld.

Two months later, the festivities moved to Dubai, where the Otedola family residence hosted a lavish Yoruba traditional ceremony.

The bride’s trousseau featured pieces by global designers including Zac Posen, Lisa Folawiyo, Miss Sohee, and Oscar de la Renta.

Mr Eazi made a regal entrance to the sound of drummers in a Folawiyo custom look, while Temi dazzled in a sculpted Zac Posen creation and gele.

The emotional ceremony, which honored both Yoruba and Igbo traditions, was followed by a reception beneath a tent decorated with over 2,000 lanterns, tropical greenery, and Ankara-themed seating. Performances by King Sunny Adé and DJ Eude kept the couple and their guests dancing all night.

In August, the final celebration unfolded in Iceland, a country the couple described as their “favorite place on earth.”

The white wedding featured a rehearsal dinner at the Harpa Opera House and a church ceremony at Hallgrimskirkja, where Temi walked down the aisle in a Fendi Haute Couture gown inspired by Audrey Hepburn. Mr Eazi wore Saint Laurent for the ceremony and later Alexander McQueen for the reception. Guests dined inside a glass tent set against Iceland’s dramatic landscape, while Grammy-winning artist John Legend surprised the bride with a private performance arranged by the groom.

The festivities ended with a beach party at Hvammsvik hot springs, where friends and family enjoyed music, food from local vendors, and views of the Northern Lights.

Reflecting on their unconventional wedding journey, Temi said: “We wanted to honor our cultures and our story while making sure every moment felt true to us.”
