Super Lig: Relegated-Hatayspor stun Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe 4-2 in last game

In the final match of Week 37 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Atakaş Hatayspor stunned Fenerbahçe with a 4-2 victory.

Despite already being relegated, the Mediterranean side capped off their last home match in the top flight with a sensational win in front of their fans.

Hatayspor’s goals came from an own goal by Ertuğrul Çetin in the 44th minute, Bilal Boutobba in the 53rd, Görkem Sağlam from the penalty spot in the 63rd, and Jonathan Okoronkwo in the 66th.

Fenerbahçe, who had already secured second place in the league, responded with goals from Youssef En Nesyri in the 27th minute and İrfan Can Kahveci in stoppage time (90+4).

This 4-2 defeat marked Fenerbahçe’s heaviest loss of the season. The match also saw Mert Müldür receive a straight red card in the 38th minute, Fenerbahçe’s first red card of the season.

The yellow-navy side collected 81 points from 35 matches, with a record of 25 wins, 6 draws, and 4 losses.

Meanwhile, Hatayspor sits 18th with 26 points from 35 games, 6 wins, 8 draws, and 21 defeats.

Their relegation was confirmed back in Week 33, meaning they’ll compete in the Trendyol 1. Lig next season.
