Super Lig: Osimhen scores 200th career goal as Galatasaray crush Kayserispor 4-0

Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen, reached a remarkable milestone on Sunday night, netting his 200th career goal as Galatasaray secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Kayserispor in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The 27-year-old Nigerian forward also showcased his playmaking ability by setting up one of the goals, underlining his all-around contribution to the team.

Osimhen, who now boasts 165 goals at club level and 35 for Nigeria, opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 26th minute, calmly converting a penalty to double the Yellow-Reds’ lead after their opener.

Later in the game, he displayed his vision and technical prowess by assisting Gabriel Sara for Galatasaray’s third goal in the 60th minute, helping manager Okan Buruk’s side put the game beyond doubt.

This season, Osimhen has been in scintillating form, scoring 14 goals in just 20 appearances across all competitions, cementing his status as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards.

His contributions have been pivotal in keeping Galatasaray at the summit of the Süper Lig table, with the club now leading on 49 points.

The milestone makes Osimhen one of the most lethal Nigerian strikers in recent history, joining an elite group of forwards who have reached 200 career goals before the age of 28.

With the season in full swing, the 27-year-old continues to signal that he is not just a clinical finisher but also a player capable of shaping games at the highest level.
