Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, continued his red-hot form in front of goal as Galatasaray cruised to a comfortable 3–0 victory over Caykur Rizespor in their Turkish Super Lig clash.
The Nigerian forward wrapped up the win with the hosts’ third goal in the 79th minute, calmly finishing off a well-worked move to put the result beyond doubt at a lively RAMS Park.
His strike capped another dominant performance from Okan Buruk’s side, who controlled the game from start to finish.
Galatasaray had taken the lead earlier in the contest before doubling their advantage in the second half, leaving Rizespor chasing shadows.
Osimhen then applied the finishing touch late on, ensuring the Istanbul giants secured all three points in style.
The goal marked Osimhen’s 15th in all competitions this season and his ninth in the league, further highlighting his importance to the team’s attacking setup.
The former Napoli striker has now scored in consecutive league matches after also finding the net in the previous outing against Kayserispor.
With the victory, Galatasaray maintained their place at the top of the Super Lig standings, sitting on 52 points from 21 matches.
They will aim to extend their lead and keep their title charge on course when they welcome Eyuspor in their next league fixture on Friday.
