The Super Falcons of Nigeria have touched down in Casablanca, Morocco, as they gear up for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

A squad of 22 players, along with coaching staff and team officials, arrived in Morocco’s commercial hub on Wednesday night.

The team’s ranks were further strengthened by the arrivals of Bay FC forward Asisat Oshoala and China-based attacker Folashade Ijamilusi.

Under the guidance of head coach Justine Madugu, the Falcons recently played out a goalless draw against Portugal in a friendly match held in Lisbon on Monday, part of their pre-tournament preparations.

Next up for the nine-time African champions is a high-stakes warm-up clash against familiar foes, the Black Queens of Ghana, scheduled for Sunday.

Nigeria will begin their WAFCON journey on July 6, facing Tunisia at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.

The Falcons will also battle Botswana and Algeria in the group stage, with all matches set to take place at the same venue.
