Rangers manager, Russell Martin, has revealed that Super Eagles striker, Cyriel Dessers, is set to depart the club.
Dessers came off the bench in Sunday’s Old Firm derby against Celtic, a match that ended in a draw, but it appears that outing will be his farewell appearance for the Light Blues.
Speaking after the game, Martin confirmed the forward’s exit plans.
“Cyriel has probably played his last game for us,” the Rangers boss told BBC Scotland.
Reports indicated that Dessers is closing in on a move to Greek Super League side Panathinaikos, with Rangers believed to have accepted a €5m offer for the player.
The 30-year-old joined Rangers two years ago from Serie A outfit Cremonese in a €4.5m transfer.
During his time at Ibrox, he netted 52 goals in 116 matches, establishing himself as a key attacking option before his impending switch to Greece.
