Super Eagles, Arsenal Legend Nwankwo Kanu clocks 47

Former Super Eagles footballer, Kanu Nwakwo, on Tuesday, August 1, marked his birthday as he turned 47.

 

‘Papilo’ as he is fondly called took to his Twitter handle to share a beautiful picture of himself asking “Kan u believe it…”, with a play of words to announce his birthday.

 

He tweeted, “KAN U BELIEVE IT HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME I THANK GOD? #happybirthday #thankgod.”

 

Kanu, an Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), was born 1 August 1976. He is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a forward.

 

He was a member of the Nigeria national team, and played for Nigerian team Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Dutch side Ajax, Inter Milan of Italy, and English clubs Arsenal, West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth.
