Liverpool have officially confirmed that seven players will depart Anfield as part of the club’s retained list for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Among the group are Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, and Lee Jonas, none of whom managed to break into the first team during their time with the Reds.

This announcement comes just under two weeks after Liverpool celebrated their Premier League title win for the 2024/25 campaign.

The club is already shifting focus to summer transfer activity, with several high-profile signings expected in the coming weeks.

While much of the buzz surrounds potential arrivals, the Reds have also been active in offloading players, particularly during the special transfer window ahead of the Club World Cup.

One of the first notable exits was that of vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract was nearing expiration. He sealed a £10 million move to Real Madrid.

Long-serving goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher also said goodbye to Anfield, completing a switch to Brentford in a deal worth up to £18 million.

Now, Liverpool have confirmed that an additional seven players will move on following the end of their current contracts.

The club released a statement on its official website revealing that several academy talents will part ways with Liverpool this summer.

The departing players include Dominic Corness, Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jakub Ojrzynski, Jacob Poytress, and Reece Trueman.

Confirming the news, Liverpool wrote, “Everyone at Liverpool would like to thank them for their contributions and wish them the best for the future.”

Although the focus may fall on those leaving, the Reds have demonstrated their continued investment in youth development by offering fresh contracts to eight young players.

Notably, 18-year-old Keyrol Figueroa, son of ex-Premier League defender Maynor Figueroa, has received a new deal.

The promising forward has caught attention with standout performances for both Liverpool’s youth sides and the United States youth national team.

Meanwhile, in anticipation of signings like Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, further departures from the senior squad are expected this summer.

Luis Diaz remains a key topic of discussion, having recently been the subject of interest from Barcelona. While the club declined to enter talks, reports suggest he could still be sold if a substantial bid is received.

Additionally, speculation surrounds the futures of Diogo Jota, Federico Chiesa, Harvey Elliott, and Darwin Nunez, who is seen as the most likely to move amid growing links to clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
