Jamie Vardy scored his first goal for Cremonese and celebrated with trademark backflips, but Marco Brescianini’s late strike earned Atalanta a 1-1 draw in yet another Serie A stalemate.
Both sides have proven difficult to beat this season but have equally struggled to turn performances into wins.
The hosts had drawn four of their last five matches and were without Lameck Banda, Giuseppe Pezzella, Alberto Grassi, Faris Moumbagna, and Michele Collocolo due to injuries.
La Dea, the only unbeaten Serie A team this season, had also drawn five of their seven league games and came into the match after a disappointing midweek Champions League 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague.
Giorgio Scalvini, Sead Kolasinac, and Mitchel Bakker were the only absentees for the visitors.
