Serie A: Monza thrash Cagliari 4-0, end unbeaten run

Monza produced an impressive performance to defeat Cagliari 4-0 in their Serie A encounter at the U-Power Stadium on Monday, October 19, 2026, ending the visitors’ four-match unbeaten run.

Gustavo Varela scored twice in the second half, while Eddy Kouadio and Jay Robinson also found the net to secure a convincing victory for Ivan Juric’s men.

The hosts entered the fixture looking to recover from their 3-1 defeat to Lazio in their previous league outing.

Cagliari, meanwhile, arrived in good form after winning their last four away matches and holding Juventus to a 1-1 draw.

Varela completed his brace in the 79th minute after Robinson broke through the Cagliari defence and struck the right post.

The Uruguayan forward reacted quickest to the rebound, tapping the ball home to complete Monza’s fourth goal.
