Inter Milan wrapped up their title-winning Serie A campaign with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches (W7, D5).
The champions started brightly, with Federico Dimarco looking dangerous early on before eventually breaking the deadlock in style.
The defender curled a brilliant free-kick beyond Łukasz Skorupski, who could only watch it fly into the top corner as Inter took control midway through the first half.
However, Bologna responded almost immediately when Federico Bernardeschi reacted quickest inside the box to level the score after a loose ball fell kindly his way.
Chances continued at both ends in an open first period, with Stefan de Vrij heading narrowly over, while Remo Freuler and Jonathan Rowe both went close for the hosts.
Bologna then turned the game around before the break when Tommaso Pobega saw his edge-of-the-box effort deflect in off Lautaro Martínez, putting the Rossoblù ahead at half-time.
The hosts extended their lead shortly after the restart in unfortunate fashion for Inter, as Piotr Zieliński diverted a cutback into his own net to make it 3-1.
Bologna pushed for more, with Bernardeschi denied a second goal by Josep Martínez, while Inter threatened through Carlos Augusto, who was kept out from a tight angle.
Inter responded just after the hour mark when Pio Esposito reacted quickest to slot home after Andy Diouf’s effort came back off the post, reducing the deficit.
The comeback was completed late on as Diouf found space to fire home from a pass by Luka Topalović, salvaging a point for the champions.
Bologna thought they might still take all three points, with Lewis Ferguson and Diouf both going close, but the match ended level after a pulsating second half.
The result sees Bologna finish eighth and miss out on European qualification, while Inter close their season unbeaten in their final stretch, reinforcing the consistency that carried them to the Scudetto.
