La Liga club, Sevilla, are preparing to part ways with Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke as part of an extensive squad revamp ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Ejuke, 27, joined the Andalusian side on a free transfer last summer after running down his contract with Russian giants CSKA Moscow.
In his debut season in Spain, the Super Eagles attacker featured in 25 league matches, netting twice and contributing just one assist.
However, his first year in La Liga was hampered by a hamstring injury and persistent fitness concerns, limiting his ability to make a sustained impact on the team.
Sevilla, winners of the UEFA Europa League a record seven times, are entering a new era under recently appointed head coach Matias Almeyda and sporting director Antonio Cordon.
The duo is expected to oversee sweeping changes within the squad.
Facing financial constraints, the club is keen to reduce its wage bill and generate funds for new signings.
As a result, Ejuke has been identified as one of the players likely to be sold, with Transfermarkt currently valuing him at €4 million.
The former Royal Antwerp winger could be replaced by academy graduate Bryan Gil. The 24-year-old, who made his senior debut with Sevilla, spent the 2024/25 season on loan from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur and is reportedly in the club’s sights for a permanent return.
