Cristiano Ronaldo moved a step closer to football immortality after scoring twice in Al Nassr’s emphatic 5-2 victory over Al Najmah in the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese superstar has now scored 967 goals for club and country, leaving him just 33 away from the historic 1,000-goal milestone.
Ronaldo’s influence in Saudi Arabia continues to grow. His latest brace took him to 97 league goals in only 100 appearances for Al Nassr, putting him on the brink of reaching 100 Saudi Pro League goals since joining the club in January 2023.
He made his league debut for Al Nassr in a 1-0 loss to Al Ettifaq on January 22, 2023, before scoring his first goal against Al Fateh less than two weeks later.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had already reached 50 league goals in 50 appearances, achieving that landmark against Al Raed in August 2024.
His 100th Saudi Pro League appearance against Al Najmah on April 3, 2026, became another memorable occasion as he once again proved decisive in front of goal.
With 97 league goals for Al Nassr and 967 overall in his career, Ronaldo is rapidly closing in on two remarkable milestones, 100 Saudi Pro League goals and 1,000 career goals.
