Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho, is on the verge of sealing a move to Aston Villa as transfer deadline day drama unfolds.
Talks between the two Premier League sides are progressing, with Sancho set for a switch to Villa Park.
Importantly, negotiations are taking place independently of any potential deal involving Villa goalkeeper Emi Martínez, who has also been linked with United.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed that both clubs are working to finalize the agreements before the window shuts.
Sancho reportedly made up his mind on Sunday to join Villa, after holding out for a club competing in European competitions.
In a separate development, Nigerian forward Christantus Uche has flown into London to wrap up his switch to Crystal Palace from Getafe.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed on X that a verbal agreement has been reached, with the Spanish club expecting all paperwork to be completed on Monday.
“Deal is now verbally agreed,” Romano wrote on X.
