The Bayelsa State Police Command has appealed to members of the public for assistance in identifying the parents or guardians of four children rescued from different locations in the state.
The Command said the children were found in Ekeremor and Yenagoa Local Government Areas and are currently in safe custody.
The rescued children have been identified as 12-year-old Affiong Etim, 12-year-old Stephen Ibrahim, 13-year-old Divine Okon, and six-year-old Majesty Edolor.
In a public announcement issued on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, called on anyone with useful information that could help reunite the children with their families to come forward.
According to him, “The Police Command solicits the cooperation of members of the public who may have useful information about the parents or guardians of the rescued children.”
