Police officers deployed to the Lagos State House of Assembly complex in Ikeja on Wednesday fired tear gas to disperse protesters demonstrating against recent demolitions across parts of the state.
The protesters, who had gathered at the assembly premises to demand an end to the demolitions and seek government intervention, were met with a heavy security presence.
