Pastor Jerry Eze apologises to worshippers turned away at UK prayer conference

Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International and convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations, Pastor Jerry Eze, has apologised to worshippers who were unable to gain entry to the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference held at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Eze made the apology after thousands of Christians from the United Kingdom and other parts of the world gathered at Manchester United’s 74,000-capacity stadium on Saturday, September 26, for the prayer conference.

The event was organised by Streams of Joy International and featured prayer, worship and musical performances.

According to a post by @praiseworld_ on Instagram, Eze went on his knees to apologise to worshippers who had travelled from different parts of the world but were turned away by the stadium authorities.

He reportedly explained that the situation was beyond his control and apologised to those affected, assuring them that such an incident would not happen again.

The large turnout came amid significant demand for the free conference.

Organisers had required attendees to register in advance because spaces were limited, while the event was subsequently reported as sold out.

Some prospective worshippers also reportedly took to social media in search of available spaces.

Despite the difficulties encountered by some attendees, the conference went ahead with the stadium filled with worshippers.

Gospel ministers and singers including Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings also featured at the gathering.

Following the event, Eze took to Instagram to express his gratitude and celebrate what he described as a successful gathering.

Sharing a video from the conference, he wrote, “NSPPD UK PRAYER CONFERENCE 2026. JESUS DID IT 🔥🔥🔥 THANK YOU JESUS!”

He added, “Somebody help me type THANK YOU JESUS in the comment box. Somebody Declare – THANK YOU JESUS!”

In another emotional reflection on the conference, Eze wrote, “Thank You Jesus” and, “Lord You and I know that YOU DID IT ALL JESUS!” He also said, “My Heart is full…These Tears…This boy you keep helping,” while describing the conference simply as “SPEECHLESS.”

The Old Trafford gathering marked a notable moment for NSPPD, bringing the prayer platform’s large online following into one of Britain’s most recognisable sporting venues.
