Denmark secured their second victory over Wales in eight days after Rasmus Højlund converted a second-half penalty to seal a 1-0 win in their UEFA Nations League Group A4 clash on Sunday.
The decisive moment came in the 75th minute when Højlund stepped up from the spot and calmly converted the penalty to put Denmark ahead.
Wales were unable to find a response after falling behind, as Denmark held on to claim another victory over their opponents in the space of just over a week.
The result marked another disappointing outing for Wales, who had already suffered defeat against Denmark eight days earlier.
Denmark’s victory also strengthened their position in the Nations League group, while Wales were left to reflect on another loss.
Højlund’s penalty proved to be the difference at the Cardiff City Stadium, with neither side able to add to the score before the final whistle.
