Nations League: De Bruyne bags brace as Belgium crush Turkey 3-0

Belgium bounced back from their previous defeat as Kevin De Bruyne scored twice in a 3-0 victory over Turkey in the UEFA Nations League on Friday.

The Red Devils secured the win at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium to move to six points from three matches in Group One, one point behind leaders France.

De Bruyne opened the scoring in the 10th minute after beating a defender before placing a low shot beyond the goalkeeper.

The Napoli midfielder doubled Belgium’s advantage on the hour mark with a powerful effort from outside the box that left the Turkish goalkeeper with no chance.

Romelu Lukaku, who came on as a substitute, completed the scoring in the 76th minute when he converted a low cross with his right foot.

The victory moved Belgium above Italy, who have four points, while Turkey suffered their third consecutive defeat and remain without a point at the bottom of the group.

Belgium will face France on Monday, while Turkey will take on Italy in their next group fixture.
