Los Angeles FC goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has expressed confidence that Son Heung-min will make a significant impact at the club.
The 33-year-old recently concluded a decade-long spell with Tottenham Hotspur, staying with the club until they secured a major trophy as promised.
In an interview with the club’s official website, Lloris, who spent nine seasons alongside Son at Spurs, praised the South Korean forward’s qualities and the value he will bring to LAFC.
“It’s incredible to reunite. Though he’s wearing a different jersey now, his ambition and drive remain the same. He’s a fierce competitor. Having captained Spurs for the past two years and leading his national team, Son is a natural leader,” Lloris said.
“He dedicated 10 years to Spurs, achieving everything possible, including winning the Europa League last season. His Premier League stats and global reputation speak volumes. At this stage in his career, seeking new challenges makes perfect sense.
“His arrival in the MLS is fantastic, for the league, for the city, the club, and especially for our team. He sets a great example, and there’s so much we can learn from him. I’m confident he’ll have a major influence on and off the pitch.”
