“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu stated in the official announcement.
The notice was shared through the state government’s official X account on Monday evening, immediately generating reactions from candidates and extending their preparation period.
The Examinations Board Director further clarified that specific dates for individual examination papers would be communicated in due course through official channels. He advised all registered candidates to remain alert and regularly check the Lagos State Examinations Board portal at examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng for real-time updates and announcements.
“Candidates are reminded to retain their registration details and print their examination slips before the announcement of the new dates,” Orunsolu added, emphasizing the importance of proper documentation.
In his statement, Mr. Orunsolu expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their patience and cooperation during this adjustment period. He reassured candidates and the public that the Lagos State Government remains committed to conducting the Public Service Examinations in a manner that upholds the highest standards of credibility, transparency and efficiency. Candidates are advised to take advantage of the extended preparation period while awaiting further communication regarding specific examination papers and venues.
