Social media was set buzzing on Sunday as Lionel Messi led Argentina to win their first World Cup in 35 years.
The keenly contested game ended in a draw as both sides scored three goals, with French forward, Kylian Mbappe scoring all France three goals to become the first ever player to score an hat-trick at a World Cup Final.
Argentina would go on to win the game at the Penalty shootout after goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez heroics display.
Argentina’s win has finally ended Messi’s search for a World Cup trophy which further cements his place among the greatest footballer to have ever played the game.
