Israel-Iran war changing face of the world — Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made bold claims about Israel’s military campaign against Iran on Thursday, stating the conflict is transforming global dynamics as it enters its seventh day.

In an interview with public broadcaster Kan, Netanyahu asserted: “I said that we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world.” He revealed Israeli forces had already destroyed “more than half” of Iran’s missile launchers.

The Prime Minister extended an open invitation for international assistance in targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. “Israel is capable of striking all of Iran’s nuclear facilities” but “all help is welcome,” Netanyahu told Kan, while acknowledging differing national priorities: “US President Donald Trump will do what is good for the United States, and I will do what is good for the State of Israel.”

The comments come amid sustained Israeli airstrikes that have reportedly caused significant damage to Iranian military assets. Netanyahu’s characterization of the conflict’s global significance suggests Israel views the confrontation as having broader geopolitical implications beyond regional security concerns.

Military analysts note the Prime Minister’s dual messaging – emphasizing both Israel’s independent capabilities and willingness to accept allied support – appears designed to maintain international backing while demonstrating national resolve.

The reference to Iran’s nuclear program indicates this remains a central focus of Israeli military strategy, despite Tehran’s repeated denials of pursuing nuclear weapons.

The conflict has entered a critical phase with neither side showing immediate signs of backing down, though Netanyahu’s remarks about destroyed missile launchers suggest Israel believes it is gaining military advantage.
