Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has firmly rejected public perceptions labeling him as a womanizer, attributing the misconception to his on-screen persona while revealing his actual disciplined lifestyle.
The 38-year-old star made these revelations during a recent appearance on The Culture League podcast alongside comedian Bovi and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womanizer. But I’m not,” Egbuson stated emphatically. “In the past two, three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s no room, except you will be the most unserious [to womanize].”
The actor provided insight into his grueling work schedule that leaves little room for romantic entanglements, saying: “I even wonder how some of my friends who womanize, date four or five girls simultaneously, have time to attend to all of them. Because from being on set all day to getting back tired at 11 pm, I will now start chatting a lady? I don’t have the capacity for that. So, I’m not in the street as people may think I am.”
Egbuson, who has been single for the past two to three years, acknowledged the persistence of his “bad boy” public image but expressed amusement rather than concern about the stereotype. “I enjoy the bad boy stereotype,” he admitted, suggesting the perception stems more from his acting roles than his personal life.
