Ugandan model based in the United Kingdom, Eva Apio, has officially addressed ongoing speculation about a romantic relationship with popular Nigerian singer Asake.
Rumors of their alleged romance had been circulating after the pair were frequently spotted together at various public events.
The model took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday to set the record straight, responding directly to a post that referred to her as Asake’s girlfriend. The viral post in question featured a photo of the two together with the caption: “Asake and his Girlfriend (Eva Apio).”
In a clear rebuttal, Apio replied: “I was never his girlfriend.” Her statement puts to rest months of speculation about the nature of their relationship, which had gained traction due to their multiple public appearances together.
