Nigerian singer Teni has publicly accused producer Northboi of sabotaging her potential collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Wizkid.
The “Case” crooner revealed that she and Wizkid had recorded a song together, but the track never saw the light of day due to Northboi’s past feud with the Starboy boss.
In a fiery video statement, Teni expressed her lingering frustration over the missed opportunity, vowing never to forgive the producer.
“Wizkid don do like 10 features but na only my own he no drop and na because of that useless boy Northboi. Na God go punish you. I no go forgive you. I no fit forgive you. God go punish you, Northboi,” Teni vented in Pidgin.
The conflict traces back to 2019 when Northboi publicly fell out with Wizkid over production credits for the hit song “Joro.” The producer claimed Wizkid threatened him with a gun when he requested a formal contract for his work on the track.
Despite reports of reconciliation in 2022 – evidenced by a viral studio video showing the two working together – Teni’s revelation suggests the healed relationship came too late for her collaboration. In the reconciliation video, Wizkid had said: “More Love, Less Ego, the album on the way. I’m here with my brother for real. We’re back, baby… Northboi [laughs].”
