Howe confident Newcastle will sign striker amid Isak saga

Newcastle United boss, Eddie Howe, has expressed confidence that the club will secure another striker, regardless of the uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isak’s future.

Isak, who is currently refusing to play, stirred controversy last week with a statement declaring his relationship with the Magpies “broken” while accusing the club of making “broken promises.”

Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of tonight’s Premier League showdown with Liverpool, Howe reassured supporters that the squad will not be left short up front.

“I don’t think the club will allow that situation to happen.

“We certainly can’t go through the season with no recognised striker at the football club and that’s no disrespect to Will Osula.

“I think he’s doing really well and progressing really well, but he’s got limited experience in the Premier League.”
